English- terms work

We have had our English teacher full time for 1 term now, she has helped us out a lot. We have been doing work on a few different subjects, including Static Images, Poems and novel studies.

First we did Static Images, we started learning about them at the end of last term but continued through out this term, we were originally going to make a DVD cover, but it got changed to a drawing on a poem. to show our skills and what we’ve learnt, we had to pick a line of the poem then recreate it, the point was for people to be able to tell what line we were recreating.

Our next subject was a novel study, the school board collectively chose Wild Pork and Watercress. We had to read the book chapter by chapter, then fill out a doc that had questions, some of the questions were quite easy, but some weren’t, we didn’t read much as a class but we all did it individually. we had our assessment on this subject, we had to write paragraphs, I got a excellence (of Course).  the line I chose was ” In the wild purple of the glow ring sun” and this is my artwork.

This is my summary of our English work this term.

P.E Reflection term 2 2024

During this term in our Physical Education class we have been participating in

(Personal Fitness Training, Badminton and Rippa Rugby)

At the end of this term I would give myself  a  4/5 for effort in our Physical Education because

I will nearly always try and participate, as well as always having p.e gear.

A challenge I had this term was being motivated to participate when I was tired.

I’m proud of always bringing p.e gear and I always put at least 50% effort in.

Some people I have motivated throughout this term were Nora, Shanaya, Scarlett and Tiana.

How I motivated them was by encouraging them to try their best and push themselves.

Someone who has helped me to keep motivated in Physical Education this term has been

Nora because she always motivates me to strive for the best, and push myself when I’m tired

A growth mindset quote that really helps me keep focused is “Everything is hard before it’s easy”

The reason I like this quote is because it says you have to work to get the reward.
